This is a highly visible role which allows the candidate toparticipate in the execution of the company’s overall product strategy. Theposition is in a dynamic team (overseeing distribution, product, life risksincluding underwriting and reinsurance). In addition, the person willhave access to weekly meetings with the CRO and opportunities to learn aboutcurrent issues faced by the company
This position will work with various departments to identify,communicate and mitigate the risks in the product development process as wellas conduct post-launch monitoring. In addition, this role will spearhead thedistribution risk project. Besides solid actuarial/analytical skills, theperson needs to be an entrepreneur, who thinks creatively and communicateseffectively.
- Participate in all New Product Development efforts,coordinating with Product Development, Financial Risk Management, Distribution,Marketing teams to ensure that, for all new products, Financial and LifeInsurance risks are well understood and appropriately mitigated and priced forin the Product Development Process
- Communicate with Group Risk Management team to further developthe AXA Group risk appetite standards for New Products and the risk analysistools that the AXA Group uses to measure and manage risks.
- Improve the local PAP (Product Approval Process) policy basedon prior years’ experience. Monitor compliance with the PAP policy prior tolaunch of New Products. Analyze post-launch experience and work onvarious strategic projects including distribution risk.
- Form effectively working relationships with variousdepartments both locally as well as in Group.
1) FSA with 3-7 years of actuarial and project managementexperience; CERA designation a plus.
4) Strong communication skills, with the ability to thinkcreatively, to express thoughts clearly, and to work effectively with others.
5) Must be self starter with exemplary work ethic held to a highlevel of accountability
