SCOPE OF POSITION: THIS IS AN 11:00 PM TO 7:00 AM SHIFT
The EVS Supervisor assists the EVS Manager in directing and administering the Environmental Services department. Completes scheduling and assignments of duties to provide adequate staff for the department. Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the casino. Provides support to patrons and staff with a safe comfortable place in which to work and enjoy. The EVS Supervisor’s performance is necessary for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for its guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are major duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive or restrictive.
- Abide by and enforce casino and department policies and procedures.
- Assists in hiring new employees, training and providing them with cleaning checklists.
- Maintains a high level of guest service.
- Assists with the cleaning of all inside casino offices, bathrooms, and casino floor areas.
- Ensures proper training with the use of chemicals and cleaning tools and devices.
- Answers service calls when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Completes schedule to cover all company needs.
- Responsible for covering extra shifts when scheduled employees are absent.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
The EVS Supervisor plans, organizes, directs, and monitors the workflow of the Environmental Services staff.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
The EVS Supervisor regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests. The EVS Supervisor is required to frequently move items weighing up to 50 lbs. The EVS Supervisor will be required to ascend/descent from raised objects and position one’s self to perform different functions. The EVS Supervisor must be able to remain stationary for 50 percent of the time. Depending on the weather, the EVS Supervisor t may also be exposed to extreme cold, typically below 32 degrees, for more than one hour. The EVS Supervisor may be exposed to extreme heat, typically temperatures above 100 degrees, for more than an hour.
Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where there may be flashing lights, and the noise levels may vary depending on the time of day, the specific location, and the amount of business. The EVS Supervisor must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and be able to work in a smoke-filled environment. The workplace is also under constant surveillance both inside and outside the facility.
The EVS Supervisor may be exposed to the risks associated with attempting to resolve contentious issues with difficult guests and staff members. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Must have a stable employment history. Must be able to report for duty as scheduled. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have at least one year of EVS Attendant experience.
