Job Title: Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing – Associate
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct fundamental research to underwrite potential investments across asset classes including equity, credit, hard assets, and private investments, including helping develop the commercial thesis.
- Perform and lead pertinent financial analyses including discounted cash flow, LBO, comparables, and precedent transactions as well as manage detailed operating models on new and existing investments.
- Conduct discussions with company management teams, bankers, sell side analysts, industry experts and hedge fund managers (as applicable) to formulate investment theses.
- Partner with the investment team to develop investment ideas and identify potential risks in the portfolios.
- Provide support for executed portfolio company deals including analysis of their reporting packs and joining discussions with management teams.
- Draft and deliver investment memoranda for presentation to the Chief Investment Officer and/or BSOF Investment Committee, as applicable.
- Supervise and train junior analysts.
- Support Operations, Finance, and Sales teams by providing investment related information as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience underwriting, conducting due diligence, preparing investment memoranda, and closing financial transactions in both equity and credit deals across the United States.
- Minimum 2 years of experience conducting fundamental research, pitching to CIO / investment committee, and monitoring public investments.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build detailed operating models, cash flow models, valuation models, and scenario analyses.
- Minimum 2 years of experience performing pertinent financial analyses, including but not limited to discounted cash flow, LBO, liquidation analysis, waterfall analysis, comparables, and precedent transactions.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to develop internal and external presentation materials.
- Minimum 2 years of experience developing familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal, CapIQ, sell-side research, and other sources to gather, organize, and interpret data.
- Experience can be concurrent.

Expected annual base salary range:
$140,000 - $185,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
