Provides legal advice, representation, and other support in the full range of administrative legal matters,Serve as an alternate Ethics Official and manage the Activity's Ethics Program,Manage and oversee ethics programs and policies within the Activity,Provide ethics training and counseling to employees,Review employees' financial disclosure reports, including OGE forms 278 and 450,Conduct research of laws, legal opinions, precedent cases, and relevant Agency guidance and actions, as needed, to address complex and difficult legal issues,Review administrative orders, rules, regulations, and statutes related to DoDEA operations
Qualifications
Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience: You must have three or more years of professional legal experience, acquired after being admitted to the bar, commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position. Graduation from an ABA-Accredited Law School in the top 25% of the class or an advanced law degree such as an LLM may substitute for one year of the required professional legal experience. Bar Membership: You must currently be a member in good standing of the bar of a State, Territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The DoDEA Office of General Counsel is accepting applications for the position of Associate General Counsel - Administrative Law Division-HQ, DoDEA. The incumbent assists the General Counsel, DoDEA in providing a full range of legal services in administrative law, ethics, and education law, to the Director, DoDEA, other members of the DoDEA leadership team worldwide. This is in support of DoDEA's mission to operate accredited schools and ensure all school-aged children of military families are provided a world-class education. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
