Description

Accounting Office Administrator

The Office Administrator will handle various administrative functions in our accounting department.  This role will support the Controller and Accounting Supervisors on daily clerical tasks, maintaining records, assisting in the mailroom, and data entry.

 

Job Description

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient accounting office operations
  • Maintain organized filing systems and complete daily/monthly filing for the accounting department.
  • Supporting with various data entry requirements
  • Providing customers service via phone, email and in person as required.
  • Collaborate with accounting supervisors to streamline processes and improve office efficiency.
  • Complete tasks and provide support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
  • Assist with mailroom duties including sort and deliver incoming mail and packages to correct departments.  May assist with preparing packages for shipping and receiving.
  • Maintain records of receipt and delivery, including shipping and receiving logs
  • Handle customer/employee inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Assist in month end accounting functions.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • 1 + year in an administrative role
  • Experience in AR/AP is preferred but not required
  • Comfortable learning new software
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient Microsoft office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel required.
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Environmental & Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch, lift weight, or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds
