Job Summary
This role is within Chamberlain Group's Human Resources function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Assist the Building Services Manager in ensuring that all physical elements of the facility (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are up to code and maintained to operate at peak efficiency at all times and (ii) Prioritize daily maintenance duties and a variety of general services including but not limited to setting up or breaking down of equipment, moving furniture, general errands and basic electrical, plumbing, heating/ventilation, roofing and painting. Education requirements include: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Experience requirements include: 3-6 years of relevant work experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the Building Services Manager in ensuring that all physical elements of the facility (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are up to code and maintained to operate at peak efficiency at all times
· Prioritize daily maintenance duties and a variety of general services including but not limited to setting up or breaking down of equipment, moving furniture, general errands and basic electrical, plumbing, heating/ventilation, roofing and painting
· Provide recommendations and support in monitoring facility-wide physical security along with recommending, planning and implementing modifications to the program to adapt to changes in operations and risk
· Interface with local governmental Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) on permit, code interpretation, operations, fire, safety and police matters
· Conduct regular inspections, identifying needs and executing corrective action and/or coordinating with management and outside contractors
· Perform and document work, materials and preventative maintenance using a work order system
· Assists in managing and monitoring facility building automation systems along with recommending, planning and implementing modifications to the program to adapt to changes in operations and risk
· Support the security, card access, video surveillance and fire protection systems regarding the maintenance, operation and procedure definition
· Support minor capital plan projects such as new installations and renovations
· This position requires regular and predictable on-site attendance and the ability to work the particular shift and/or schedule to which you are assigned, as well as additional hours as needed
· Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams
· Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
· Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
· High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience:
· 3-6 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· General electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills
· Mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair equipment and systems
· Working knowledge of Building Automation Systems
· Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
· Knowledge of general workplace safety procedures
· Ability to assemble furniture with hand or power tools
Other:
· Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; ability to work weekend and off-shift hours
