The Senior Network Analyst- Security and Compliance will be primarily responsible for ensuring IMRF’s compliance with SOC1, Security Best Practices, and NIST, ensuring the security of all IMRF systems, as part of our Systems Development Lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor various security consoles ( NAC, Firewall, Email, AV, Vulnerability etc. ) to log devices/systems and alert on unauthorized activity; maintaining an inventory of authorized and unauthorized devices.
- Perform troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of existing cybersecurity appliances and tools.
- Monitor SIEM console & email alerts; investigate unknown/suspicious activity against IMRF baselines. Determine remediation options and implement changes including any documentation updates.
- Lead cybersecurity projects and POCs with the upgrades and implementation of new security tools and technologies.
- Participate in professional development activities to keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and security protocols.
- Aggregate audit scans and patch management audit reports to ensure a comprehensive inventory of allowed software/hardware.
- Capture system security configuration settings and Line of Business (LOB) application and dependent service configurations. This includes integrity checking mechanisms for data, systems, and software.
- Provide security analysis and reports as needed.
- Implement, review, & verify that our Disaster Recovery security is implemented the same as our Oak Brook site. This includes participating in validation of all IMRF systems Availability ( part of the CIA triad ).
- Staff the Help Desk, solving complex as well as common problems having to do with system security and network access
- Evaluate, test and deploy patches to all IMRF systems on a monthly or “as needed” basis
- Review, research and resolve virus issues and vulnerabilities
- Perform other duties as required

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or similar discipline
OR
- Currently certified in GSOC OR CompTIA Security+ OR CompTIACySA+ OR similar discipline
AND
3+ years experience working with enterprise security tools and technologies
Addition qualities/technical skills and experience preferred:
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and members/employers.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Salary and Benefits
The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,992- $97,511. Please note the salary information is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The range listed is just one component of IMRF's total compensation package for employees.
