Do you have strong Defined Benefit knowledge? Experience with relational databases and onboarding new defined benefit plans?
As a Defined Benefit Onboarding Analyst, you'll be responsible for the data conversion process for new Defined Benefit clients! We are looking for someone who thrives on solving unique problems using advanced analytical skills and enjoys working with various internal partners and tools to support a smooth implementation.
Responsibilities may include:
- Aggregate and load participant data from prior providers and process benefit calculations.
- Drive client and vendor conversations to extract valuable information and assess client needs.
- Analyze conversion data to determine data gaps and collaborate with the client and vendors to solve data related issues.
- Thoroughly document and communicate data load process, assumptions, and issue resolutions.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external testing efforts around data components.
- Apply business analyst skills to connect IT and business operations.
- Identify, recommend, and implement areas for improvement at both the individual plan level and overall processes.
- Develop and apply desktop tools to improve the efficiency of reviewing incoming participant data and performing benefit calculations.
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Math, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience onboarding and implementation of defined benefit clients.
- Experience working with relational databases, including loading, managing, and analyzing data using SQL.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and database or similar data analysis software
- Strong mathematical, technical, and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
Skills that will help you stand out:
- 8+ years of experience with defined benefit clients.
- Prior experience working with client / third party vendor directly to accomplish a project
- Ability to interpret complex plan provisions, outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to think ahead and take proactive measures.
- Extensive testing experience, with the ability to perform detailed and precise data validation.
- Payroll experience or familiarity with payroll systems.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to think ahead and take proactive measures.

Work Environments: This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
Salary Range Information:Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range:$81900 - $140000 / yearTime Off Program:Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.Pension Eligible:YesAdditional Information:
