The Data Management Technician position provides staff support for the Maine Soil Testing Service and Analytical lab complex, which is one of the primary public service laboratories for the University of Maine. The lab provides a range of analytical services to approximately 3000 individual commercial and research customers each year. This generates a large volume of customer data, including billing information, which is all managed in-house. Part-time, regular position, 20 hours per week. This position pays $18.13/hour, or applicable transfer rate in accordance with the ACSUM collective bargaining agreement.
Essential duties include:
- Data entry of customer and sample information
- Mailing and emailing customer reports
- Helping to maintain customer database
- Generating deposits of cash receipts
- Mailing soil testing kits.
- Some phone support/customer interaction
- Maintaining office supplies

- Typically has the education associated with a High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) AND one year of data entry experience.
