The purpose of this position is to provide essential financial, contract, and procurement support to the Technology Solutions (TS) department. The IT Financial Coordinator works under the direction of the IT Financial Services Manager to assist in managing the TS operational budget, entering and maintaining contracts, tracking departmental expenditures, and supporting purchasing functions. This position also manages mobile device orders and helps assign system user access for Technology Solutions team members. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced IT environment.
 
 

Position Duties

  • Support the day-to-day administration of the TS department’s operational budget, including assisting with processing payments through requisition creation, managing contract payment schedules, and ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial documentation.
  • Coordinate purchasing for training, travel, office supplies, and employee reimbursements.
  • Manage and track IT contracts through entry, renewals, and vendor communications.
  • Initiate and track mobile device orders, maintain device inventory, and coordinate deliveries.
  • Assign and maintain user account access to TS department systems and platforms.
  • Assist with the preparation of budget amendments, journal entries, and vendor payments.
  • Maintain documentation for contract compliance and financial reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to ensure timely processing of purchases and services.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 2 years of administrative, financial, or procurement experience in a government or IT setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Outlook).
  • Valid North Carolina Class "C" Driver's License; if out-of-state, must obtain a NC license within 60 days of hire
     

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Munis, Oracle, SAP).
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement or finance policies.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors
