Role and Activity

▪ Place products in a right manner during truck loading & unloading operations according to the existing warehouse management system.

▪ Warehouse cleanliness & organization for best GWP (Good Warehouse Practice).

▪ Keeping the material handling equipment’s in a good condition as safety & quality measures.

▪ Manage Internal Stock Movements by PIT.

▪ Display and moves the order for any movement inside the warehouse. This includes put away, retrieval and picking, replenishment of picking bins and staging for production , Walking materials to the line, received product and Returns to Warehouse.

▪ Confirm movements using Scanners or RF-terminal in near real time.

▪ Ensure complying to the inventory count instructions.

▪ Adheres strictly to (FEFO) first Expiry – first out policy.

▪ Ensure that the “material tags” are represented on the pallets per receiving for each consignment.

Required Experiences & Knowledge:

▪ Forklift driving license

▪ Minimum 3 years of experience in forklift and safety procedures.

▪ Knowledge of warehousing system and Quality principles.

▪ Strong knowledge of safety & Environment.

▪ Methods of physically receiving and visually inspecting of the materials.

Personal Qualities:

▪ Must be able to win trust and respect of others.

▪ Must be able to identify a problem on his relevant area.

▪ Must be able to give a point of view.

▪ Eye for detail- Able to balance priorities.

▪ Able to see the bigger picture beyond the scope of their job.

Primaries Golden Rules for warehouse Operators:

The following are Identified as potential hazards with severe risk need to be respect all time

1. Must wear helmet.

2. Follow strictly load limit, max. 2 layers of pallets

3. Backward driving when loading

4. Keep left when passing each other.

5. Follow the stop line, confirm safety by hand before moving.

6. Fork must maintain <10cm above floor level during driving.

7. Immediately report any forklift damage, Malfunction, Scratches to supervisors, and record it.

8. Execute and record daily prework check for forklift conditions and driving logs.

9. When leaving the forklift, lower the forks, shut it off and set the brakes, remove key.

10. Stop at stop signs. Slow down and blow the horn at blind corners or intersections.

11. Obey the speed limit. Operate the forklift at speed that allows you to safely stop at any times.

12. Avoid sharp turns.

13. Keep your arms and legs inside.

14. Never exceed the weight and size capacity of the forklift.

15. Aisles must be kept clear for the free and safe movement of material handling equipment.

16. Do not put pallet in rack, if wooden pallet is damaged or if product can fall down.

17. Ensure that pallets are correctly packed.

18. Do not exceed Safe working load capacity of racks.

19. Ensure that pallet is correctly positioned on rack.

20. Never climb on racks A slip or fall may result in a serious injury

21. Immediately report any rack damage or loose components in the rack system, including ground anchor bolts.

22. Do not block sprinklers, fire exits or fire extinguishers.

Position Qualifications:

18 years of age or older

Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills.

Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules.

High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience

One-year related experience (preferred).

Work Environment:

In this position, the employee will regularly work with and around others; in a wet and/or humid environment; in areas of high noise level; and around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. The work is fast paced.

The position involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens.

Cold Temperatures: Parts of the facility, such as storage and production areas, may be kept at low temperatures.

Requires use of cold-protective PPE.

May involve standing, lifting, and walking in refrigerated zones for extended periods.

Fast-Paced: Workers often operate under strict timelines to meet production quotas.

High-speed manufacturing floor with frequent movement, line assignment changes, and tight production timelines.

Standing for Long Hours: Many roles require prolonged standing and repetitive tasks.

Repetitive hand and arm movements required.

Must be able to stand for hours with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.

Food Safety Regulations: Employees must follow hygiene and safety guidelines, including wearing protective gear (gloves, hairnets, etc.).

Team-Oriented: Workers collaborate to ensure smooth production and packaging.

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay rate is  $20.40 an hour.
