About the job

The Inventory Coordinator is a key position within the warehouse area, responsible for leading activities related to inventory management, planning, and control. The main objective of this position is to ensure record accuracy, operational efficiency, and material availability, contributing to the achievement of the company's strategic objectives. Additionally, this role supervises the warehouse team and collaborates closely with other departments to ensure alignment in the supply chain.

Your tasks

Inventory Management:

  • Plan and execute periodic cycle counts, ensuring compliance with established schedules.
  • Supervise the physical counting of goods and reconcile with ERP system records.
  • Identify and analyze discrepancies between physical and theoretical inventory, proposing effective solutions to reduce errors.
  • Implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and prevent losses.

Staff Supervision:

  • Coordinate and assign daily tasks to warehouse staff related to inventory management.
  • Train and guide staff in the use of established tools and procedures.
  • Foster a positive and safe work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.

Creation and Analysis of Indicators

  • Design, create, and update key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of inventory processes.
  • Prepare periodic reports with detailed analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other areas to identify improvement opportunities based on KPI results.

Management of OSMI (Obsolete and Slow-Moving Inventory):

  • Identify obsolete and slow-moving materials within the inventory.
  • Develop action plans for the disposal, reassignment, or reuse of these materials, minimizing financial impact.
  • Coordinate with other areas to propose strategies to reduce obsolete inventory and prevent future accumulation.

Warehouse Administration:

  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatching.
  • Maintain effective control over documentation associated with warehouse operations.
  • Ensure compliance with standards for order, cleanliness, and safety in the facilities.
  • Implement and supervise safety measures to prevent accidents, theft, and damage to stored materials.
  • Propose and execute improvements in warehouse operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in warehouses and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Office tools.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar.
  • Familiarity with inventory control methodologies and warehouse best practices.
  • Effective problem-solving in dynamic environments.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear and effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Adaptability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proactivity and results orientation.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
