Our EMEA Human Resources team is dedicated to enhancing the employee experience at every key moment of their journey at Terumo.

 

HR Managers and Business Partners collaborate with Business Units, Support Functions, and Country Managers to attract, develop, and retain top talent. The People Solutions team leverages HR analytics to create innovative solutions, foster an inspiring culture, and provide growth opportunities for employees. For HR administration and systems-related inquiries, the People Experience team ensures employees receive the necessary support and guidance.

 

Job Summary

 

 

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner Lead to join our EMEA Human Resources team at soon to be acquired production site in Leverkusen. Acting as a strategic partner to business leaders, you will translate business objectives into actionable HR strategies, drive organizational development, and ensure a best-in-class people experience.

 

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of strategy, talent management, and change leadership. It requires a strong physical presence at our Leverkusen site to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and lead initiatives effectively. This position reports to Anne-Sophie Motte, HR Manager of the Pharmaceutical solutions Business Unit. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

 

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with the HR Manager and business leaders to implement the EMEA HR vision and strategy, enhancing engagement and the associate experience.

  • Drive strategic and operational workforce planning, aligning people strategies with business goals

 

Organizational Development & Change Management

  • Support and lead change management initiatives across the organization.

  • Facilitate transformation projects, leveraging best practices and engaging stakeholders effectivel

  • Support the Org Design of your dedicated business unit or support organisation.

 

Talent Management & Coaching

  • Guide managers in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.

  • Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, and promote internal mobility.

  • Provide outcome-oriented coaching to leaders and teams

 

Workforce Analytics & Budget Management

  • Develop and monitor FTE budgets in collaboration with Controlling.

  • Use HR data analytics to identify trends and provide actionable insights

 

HR Services, Policies & Compliance

  • Lead and contribute to HR projects, ensuring process excellence and compliance with legal requirements.

  • Act as a single point of contact for local labor regulations and manage industrial relations

 

Teamwork & Self-Development

  • Collaborate with the People Experience (HR admin, payroll, people analytics and systems)  and People Solutions team (TA, L&D, Total Rewards and Transformation) when applicable in certain processes and with other HR colleages in various projects.

Profile Description

 

Experience: Proven track record as an HR Business Partner or HR Leader within an international, matrix organization. Experience in a factory or GMP environment will be a plus

 

Expertise: Strong skills in organizational development, change management, talent management, and workforce planning

 

Languages: Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken)

 

Interpersonal Skills: Influential communicator with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization

 

Mindset: Business-oriented, analytical, and proactive in driving HR strategies forward

 

Location Requirement: This role requires regular, on-site presence in Leverkusen; remote or limited presence arrangements are not possible
