Job Description

Job Summary:

The person in this position will assist the Financial Aid Director in administering federal and state financial aid programs including advising students on financial aid programs, application processing, and packaging and awarding of financial aid eligibility. The person in this position will process verification paperwork and make corrections to student ISIRs.  The person in this position will manage the student employment program. This position will also correspond with various government agencies and perform other duties as assigned. All employees of Saint Paul College are responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity and inclusion in all forms as well as providing excellent customer service continuously to all internal and external contacts.

Job Duties:

  • Manage Student Employment Program.

  • Process Consortium Agreements.

  • Process unique federal verification comment codes.

  • Provide back-up for general Federal Verification processing.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $23.63 - $34.18 hourly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of higher education experience (an associate’s degree can supplement).

  • Knowledge of financial and/or account experience.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills sufficient to participate in discussions and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Demonstrated inter-cultural competency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) or more years of higher education experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field.

  • Ability to identify problems and resolve FAFSA data discrepancies.

  • Bilingual.

  • Knowledge of and the ability to use the Federal Student Aid’s relations databases and applications.

  • Knowledge of and ability to follow FERPA regulations.
