In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

The Global Partnerships and Programs (Berklee Global) Student Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the office and supporting logistics for programs including Berklee on the Road, Berklee Latino, other global programming, and the Berklee Global Partner network.The main function of this position is to provide administrative and office support for the Berklee Global team and to serve as the front line for the area, alongside other student employees. This position will assist with general research projects, data entry, social media content creation, spreadsheet and data management, and other duties as assigned. This role gives students an opportunity to gain general office and administrative experience, to learn or build upon project management skills, and to maintain important connections with our dynamic global community.
- 6-8 Hours per Week
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the front line of the department and assisting with reception of in-person visitors to the office; answer department phone for any inquires about programs and events
- Respond to email inquiries and assist in managing department’s email correspondence, escalating messages to supervisors as necessary;
- Enter, organize, and synthesize information, files, and other data into department databases (Google Drive, Sheets, Excel, FileMaker, etc.);
- Create and produce event-specific content, including promotional materials and graphics for social media and newsletters;
- Assist with general office tasks, including office inventory, pickup and delivery of supplies around campus, and assistance with on-campus event setup;
- Maintain professional demeanor in an office setting
Knowledge and Skills/Requirements:
- Current enrollment in semester levels 3-to-5 with 3.0 GPA or higher;
- Strong verbal and written English skills; additional language skills preferred, particularly Spanish
- Strong interpersonal skills, organization, and the ability to work independently with attention to detail and sensitivity to confidential information;
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite (including the use for formatting and formulas), Microsoft Office, and social media platforms is essential;
- Basic knowledge of DAWs and notation softwares;
- Ideal candidates include transfer students from Berklee Global Partner schools, past participants of Berklee on the Road programs, or past participants of any other Berklee global programs.
