Job Overview
As a Restaurant Server, you’ll provide prompt, professional food and beverage service to our guests while ensuring presentation and quality standards are met. Your attentive service and warm hospitality will help create memorable dining experiences for every guest.
Duties and Responsibilities
Greet all guests and take food and beverage orders promptly and courteously.
Serve food and beverages to guests while ensuring quality, safety, and presentation standards are met.
Clear and clean tables efficiently; wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, and floors as needed.
Perform side-work and opening/closing duties, ensuring wait stations are clean and organized.
Alert management of any service or safety issues and perform service recovery gestures when appropriate.
Process guest payments and transactions as required.
Work collaboratively with cooks, supervisors, and fellow servers to deliver seamless service.
Perform other duties as assigned while upholding Marriott and company standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience: Previous food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations preferred.
Education: Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
Certificates: Food handler’s permit and/or alcohol awareness certification may be required based on local regulations.
Skills: Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements
Able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds
Able to remain stationary for extended periods
Comfortable moving throughout the restaurant
Able to handle trays, plates, and glassware
Capable of bending, stooping, and kneeling as needed
Other Requirements
Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong attention to detail and guest service focus
