Internal Applicants Only - HR Systems Project Specialist (Recruitment)

As the biggest university in Wales – and a major employer, with more than 6,500 staff – we are an ambitious and innovative university located in a beautiful and thriving capital city. We can offer you the chance to work in a vibrant organisation, with great benefits and opportunities for progression.

The transformation of Cardiff University into a great global civic university will require the HR function and its services to operate in a more efficient, collaborative, empowered and ambitious way.  Our HR systems are used by approximately 25,000 users per year including applicants, senior managers, Line managers, employee’s, pensioners etc.

The HR Systems & Data projects incorporated three workstreams designed to ensure the HR Systems are fit to support the University on its transformational journey.  The final project is to deploy a new recruitment tool which brings recruitment into the same system as HR information removing duplication of effort for data entry and providing for anonymous shortlisting to support the Strategic Equality Plan.

The recruitment project has now started and due to internal promotions we are now eager to hear from staff who would like to get involved in helping to shape the Recruitment solution in readiness for our transformation.

This role is eligible to be offered on a blended working basis, meaning that as well as spending time working on campus you can also choose to spend some time working from another location, e.g. your home. The University is committed to offering this flexibility, wherever the role and business need allows, supporting work-life balance.

Cardiff University is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity and to creating an inclusive working environment. We believe this can be achieved through attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse range of staff from many different backgrounds.  We therefore welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of sex, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, trans identity, relationship status, religion or belief, caring responsibilities, or age.  In supporting our employees to achieve a balance between their work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
