The Role
As a People Operations Generalist, you’ll be a trusted first point of contact for employees and leaders, ensuring day-to-day HR operations are responsive, compliant, and human-centered. You’ll work across employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, HRIS data integrity, policy/document governance, training support, and engagement/recognition programs.
What You’ll Do
- Be the go-to resource for employee and manager questions—providing timely guidance, documentation, and professional follow-through while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Support employee relations and manager coaching on performance/conduct; assist with documentation and follow-up on investigations as needed.
- Partner in onboarding touchpoints to deliver a welcoming, well-organized new-hire experience; coordinate offboarding, including exit interviews and documentation.
- Keep our HRIS and files accurate—maintain personnel records and partner on audits, reporting, and annual job description reviews.
- Boost programs that build culture—coordinate recognition, engagement events, and organizational training; support PDP (Performance Development Plan) approvals and tracking.
- Support talent work as requested—partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers; represent HopeWest at recruiting events.
- Champion compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
What You Bring
- Experience: 3+ years in HR generalist or employee relations, (healthcare or nonprofit a plus).
- Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s in HR, Business, or related field preferred; SHRM-CP or PHR preferred (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).
- Skills: Working knowledge of HR practices and employment law; strong communication and relationship skills; high discretion; organization and time management; Microsoft Office proficiency; HRIS experience preferred; demonstrated commitment to DEIB.
- Other: Valid Colorado driver’s license, reliable transportation, and maintained auto insurance.
Pay & Benefits
- Salaried/Exempt annual pay: $63,918-$70,720
