Overview:

We are seeking a Clinical Compliance Specialist to join our team of passionate patient caregivers! This will be a dual role for NIACH and RHNW - same campus.

 

Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital in Post Falls, Idaho is a long-term acute care hospital dedicated to patients with serious, medically complex conditions that require extended hospitalization and specialized care. We provide advanced critical care services for individuals recovering from severe illness or injury – including ventilator weaning and respiratory therapy, complex wound care, post-intensive care rehabilitation, and management of multiple organ system conditions. Our highly skilled team of physicians, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, and rehabilitation specialists deliver around-the-clock care with a focus on stabilizing health and promoting recovery. The hospital features advanced monitoring equipment and all private rooms to enhance patient comfort and safety.  North Idaho Advanced Care Hospital is expanding its services and will be opening an in-patient rehabilitation (IRU) unit to pair with its long-term acute care beds.   The IRU will provide acute rehabilitation services to patients with neurologic, orthopedic, cardiac and respiratory disease. Rehabilitation Hospital of the Northwest offers specialized inpatient rehabilitation services for patients throughout northern Idaho and the Inland Northwest. Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Minimum two years clinical experience preferred.
  • One year in clinical compliance role preferred.

 

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge of and resource for Federal, State and the Joint Commission standards and hospital specific rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.

 

Responsibilities:

Provides clinical leadership for the following areas: Infection Prevention/Control, Medical Staff Services, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and Quality Management/Improvement. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
