The Field Coordinator keeps projects moving and customers smiling. You’ll be at the center of it all—connecting sales, project teams, and contractors to ensure every installation and start-up is a success. From planning GFS crews and coordinating subcontractors to reviewing drawings and tracking progress, you’ll make sure no detail is missed. And once projects wrap up, you’ll see them through to the finish line, closing punch lists and approving invoices with confidence.

What Success Looks Like

  • Serve as a central communicator with distributors, customers, contractors, and GFS departments through written updates, calls, emails, presentations, and meetings.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and job-costing reports to track project progress and financial investment.
  • Review customer and GFS specifications to confirm site readiness, including equipment needs, team size, contractor requirements, training, and safety/badging requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings between field and office teams to address potential concerns and proactively remove barriers to successful installations.
  • Monitor project schedules, track progress, and communicate deviations or changes internally and externally.
  • Lead and manage the subcontractor bid process—qualifying bidders, preparing bid documents, awarding contracts (mechanical, electrical, piping, etc.), and ensuring all subcontractor documents are gathered for purchase orders/contracts.
  • Follow up on projects to confirm completion, resolve punch list items, and approve invoices for processing.

Qualifications That Shine

  • Associate’s degree in construction or management (or related field).
  • 3+ years of experience in a construction trade or project coordination role.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities.
  • Clear, effective communication skills to work across internal departments and external partners.
  • Experience preparing bid packages and communicating technical requirements to contractors.
  • Working knowledge of contract and specification writing.
