Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interprets and applies laws, policies, and regulations in assigned area of responsibility, specifically, resource family homes, foster care, adoption and child protective services
- Maintains a general knowledge of child welfare policies and principles
- Completes Mutual Family Assessments and reassessments of resource families, kinship families and ICPC
- Maintains licensing standards for all resource homes in accordance with policy. Accurately maintains reporting and documentation on the licensing status of all resource homes.
- Engages in retention activities of resource families
- Monitor, coordinates, and administers recruitment activities that generate the quantity and quality of inquiries for viable licensed resource homes
- Maintains and implements an annual recruitment plan
- Monitors, coordinates, and administers PRIDE and other ancillary trainings
- Performs case management activities for all resource family homes
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any related field and completion of required training programs or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Minimum two years of experience in assigned program area
- Possession of a BSW or MSW degree and a Commonwealth of Virginia Social Work License preferred
- Valid driver's license
