Urban Outfitters is looking for a strategic and creative Planning Manager to lead our planning team in driving sales growth and profitability. This role is essential in shaping merchandise strategies that reflect our brand vision and business goals. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to translate trend insights into actionable plans, optimize inventory, and empower your team to deliver results.

• Lead the development of merchandise plans that support sales, margin, and inventory goals across divisions
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with corporate strategies and initiatives
• Deliver clear reporting and analysis to surface trends, identify opportunities, and support decision-making
• Translate merchant direction and trend insights into profitable strategies
• Challenge existing processes and drive innovation in planning practices
• Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing planning team
• Own Open-to-Buy (OTB) and inventory management, identifying profit-driving opportunities
• Support system enhancements and process improvements to elevate planning capabilities
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes

• 5+ years of experience in Planning, Allocation, or a related field
• Proven experience managing direct reports or leading a team
• Strong financial and analytical acumen
• Effective team leadership and coaching skills
• Results-driven with a strategic mindset
• Creative problem solver with a “think outside the box” approach
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field
