Description
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and supporting electrical systems and components. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, manufacturable, and regulatory-compliant products. This is a hands-on role suited for an engineer with a strong foundation in electrical design, experience with PCB layout, and a desire to grow within a collaborative product development environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Design analog and digital circuits, select components, and create schematics and PCB layouts.
- Support prototype development, debugging, and validation testing.
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware/software, product management, and production teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Assist with documentation and regulatory submittals for product certifications (e.g., UL, CSA).
- Contribute to product enhancements and design revisions based on testing, customer feedback, or compliance changes.
- Provide technical support for production and resolve manufacturing-related issues.
- Troubleshoot field-reported issues and assist the customer support team on technical matters.
- Participate in project planning, product reviews, and documentation activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in an electrical design or development role.
- Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCAD).
- Strong understanding of analog/digital circuits, power electronics, and embedded system interfaces.
- Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power analyzers).
- Basic understanding of communication protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
- Experience with I2C, SPI, and other embedded communication interfaces.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with SMT manufacturing processes.
- Exposure to embedded systems or firmware integration.
- Working knowledge of safety and regulatory standards (UL, CSA, ANSI/IEEE).
