Course Description: European history from the late Middle Ages to the end of the Napoleonic Wars, emphasizing the major political, cultural, economic and social changes that created early modern Europe. (24L/12T)

 

Estimated Course Enrollment: 80

 

Estimated TA Support: 135

 

Class Schedule: Wednesdays, 9:00 –11:00

 

Hours of Work: Fridays, 9:00 –2:00

 

Sessional Dates of Appointment: September 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025

 

Salary: $54.27 per hour

Qualifications: Applicants should have a completed PhD or (for non- U. of T. graduate students) equivalent, with major field in the relevant topic area.  

Demonstrated effectiveness as a teaching assistant, academic qualifications in the subject, ability to introduce students to a diverse range of approaches, and suitability for the position.

 

Description of Duties: Duties may include the teaching of small tutorial sections, marking of assignments, holding scheduled office hours and invigilation of exams; other duties as determined by the supervisor.
