Center Director
Location: The position location is for our Lakewood Horizon Childcare Center
Salary Information: Full-time salaried position
Reports to: Chief Academic Officer
Job Description:

Demonstrate knowledge of childcare licensing rules
-
Demonstrate knowledge of SUTQ requirements, required to maintain the Gold level
-
Provide staff mentoring, management, and leadership
-
Ensure customer satisfaction; maintain enrollment and attendance percentages
-
Payroll, staffing hours, hiring, and scheduling; maintain staff longevity
-
Be a master teacher: provide guidance regarding curriculum, instruction practices, and programming requirements
-
Build systems to support and oversee the safety and security of the children, the center, and the general environment
-
Manage and provide oversight of projects and programs as needed, for example, Head Start, ECE, UPK, marketing, and summer camp

Understand and oversee basic business operations (accounts receivable, supplies, and organization-specific duties for business operations)

Support the Center Business Coordinator, whose primary role is tracking enrollment, attendance, and billing

Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with personnel and family information

All other duties as needed/assigned

Direct supervision of all Center staff
Qualifications
Qualifications:
-
Three years of administrative experience in a DCY center is preferred, or similar experience required
-
A minimum OCCRRA Level 3 CPL is required; you must qualify to be on the administrative license for a Gold-rated center. A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred.

DCY Administrator Rules training is required and must be completed upon hire if not already qualified

Willingness to update job knowledge with required training, DCY licensing rules and Ohio Approved professional development opportunities, and industry trends

Has the ability to build positive relationships with coworkers, families, vendors, and the community through prompt and accurate response and service, cheerful and professional attitude, and problem-solving spirit

Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills; and be able to expertly deal with internal and external individuals in a positive manner

Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Must be able to multitask and have strong detail-oriented, time management, and organizational skills

Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively as an active part of a team

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other software programs; with an emphasis on Excel

Must be able to pass background checks and physical/ medical screening as required
