Schedule:
Weekday evenings from 4:30 pm. until the end of the meeting. Meetings typically last anywhere between 1 and 3 hours. 1-2 meetings per week are expected of each camera operator.
Description:
The City of Urbana invites applications for UPTV Camera Operator. Camera Operators film public meetings for Urbana Public Television Cable Channel 6. From the Urbana Public Television control room, or wherever the meeting occurs, the Operator will run video equipment and controls while recording the meeting.
Job Requirements: - Must possess a valid driver's license and have a safe driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be dependable.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to control operations of video equipment and computer systems.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions.
- Ability to quickly and repeatedly make adjustments in moving the video controls to exact positions.
- Ability to concentrate and not be distracted while performing a task over a period of time.
- Must have unimpaired or corrected vision.
- Experience in camera operation or video production is desired but not required – training will be provided to all new Operators.
