Hourly Salary: $31.11 - $37.35
Work Schedule: Base schedule is 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM; however, shifts may vary due to weather conditions, emergencies (especially snow events), or operational demands. Flexibility is essential.

The selected candidate must pass (or have already passed) a fingerprinted-based criminal history records check as required by the Transportation Security Administration.

As a Senior Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will:
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on CBIS equipment, including conveyor belts, sensors, motors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Work with complex systems such as Allen Bradley PLCs and DeviceNet communication networks
  • Coordinate and collaborate with equipment vendors, suppliers, and service providers to resolve issues and complete repairs
  • Lead, assign, and review the work of maintenance staff to ensure high-quality and timely service
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and system performance data
  • Support process improvements and recommend updates to procedures and standards
  • Participate in snow removal operations and assist with other Airport maintenance tasks outside of CBIS during weather events or as operational needs arise

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Knowledge of:
  • Electrical, mechanical, and automated control systems
  • Preventive maintenance and system diagnostics
  • PLC programming, sensors, motors, conveyors, and electromechanical components
Ability to:
  • Lead technical maintenance projects and assign tasks to support staff
  • Troubleshoot complex systems independently and under time-sensitive conditions
  • Safely and effectively operate maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, and software
  • Communicate effectively with peers, vendors, and airport leadership
  • Maintain a strong awareness of airport safety and security procedures

Position Duties

  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)
  • Five (5) years of full-time, professional experience in facilities or systems maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, or automation-related work

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid non-probationary Colorado Class B CDL not subject to restrictions
  • Experience maintaining or repairing automated conveyance systems in an industrial, airport, or transportation setting
  • Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, DeviceNet, or other industrial automation systems
  • Experience in welding, HVAC, or mechanical system repair
  • Experience leading or training maintenance staff in a high-stakes environment
