Hybrid Operations Manager presso Wasco Switches & Sensors

Description

The operations manager leads the supply chain, planning, material control, and manufacturing teams to drive operational excellence across all areas of production. This role is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery, high-quality output, and cost-effective processes, while aligning daily operations with Wasco’s core values and long-term strategic objectives.  

Essential Functions:

· Leadership & Accountability

Lead, manage, and hold the Operations team accountable (LMA) while upholding organizational standards.

· Production & Process Optimization

Plan and optimize production capacity, improve workflow, and ensure on-time delivery.

· Efficiency & Cost Management

Drive cost efficiency and continuous process improvements.

· Cross-Functional & Supplier Collaboration

Align goals across departments and manage supplier relationships.

· Facilities & Equipment Oversight

Oversee facility and equipment maintenance to support operational readiness.

· Performance Tracking

Monitor team and operational performance, reporting progress to stakeholders.

Skills and Abilities:

· Leverage Leadership and Communication: Use strong leadership and communication skills to align cross-functional teams and foster a culture of accountability, ensuring seamless Ops Team Execution and goal alignment. 

· Enhance Strategic and Analytical Capabilities: Apply strategic planning and analytical thinking to optimize production capacity and improve flow, using ERP systems like NetSuite to streamline processes and monitor performance metrics. 

· Focus on Cost Efficiency: Utilize negotiation, budget management, and problem-solving skills to drive cost efficiency and secure reliable supplier partnerships. 

· Integrate Technical Tools: Maximize Microsoft Office 365 for reporting and coordination to support clear communication with the Director and other departments.

Requirements

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

The role involves climbing stairs multiple times per day and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional travel may be required.
