Job Summary
We are looking for a committed, highly organized individual who is excited to join a hard-working mission-driven Finance Team. As the Bookkeeper, you will report to the Accounting Manager (AM) and assist in the daily accounting and financial operations of the organization and the finance department.
The Bookkeeper will maintain the company’s financial records of a budget of $10 million, that includes the functional responsibility for accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily data entry in QuickBooks Online.
- Record transactions and reconcile cash accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and cash flow.
- Manage accounts receivable and funder invoicing.
- Enters data into payroll and time/attendance systems.
- Prepares payroll if needed as backup to the AM.
- Provides administrative support for the Finance Team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Preferred knowledge in the areas of bookkeeping (QBO), and payroll (ADP).
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Must be proficient in word processing, excel spreadsheet usage and maintenance, and the use of email and Internet.
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Required Education/Experience
- Minimum Highschool diploma and experience working in a professional office environment.
- Preferred associate’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, accounting.
- Must pass a DCF & DCPS screenings.
