QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Prior experience in general maintenance; electrical and mechanical experience preferred

  • General knowledge of chemicals, maintenance tools, plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, lifts, and assorted equipment preferred

  • Ability to operate equipment such as hand and power tools, lifts, and emergency equipment

  • Strong oral communication skills; able to follow directions and communicate clearly over handheld radios

  • Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history

  • Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES 

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members

  • Repair and replace broken equipment in restaurants, bars, kitchens, the casino floor, and associated venues

  • Maintain and clean facilities shops, service-level office areas, electrical rooms, compressor rack rooms, UPS rooms, chiller and boiler rooms, wardrobe, warehouse, and switch-gear areas

  • Assist in repair/replacement of air handlers, exhaust fans, FCUs, and roof membrane; perform preventive maintenance including filter changes, belt replacement, and unit cleaning

  • Support basic troubleshooting and repair of electrical and plumbing systems

  • Assist with carpentry and woodworking projects, including furniture repair

  • Operate lifts and basic facilities equipment, including power saws, drills, soldering equipment, and grinders

  • Assist with use of cutting torches, welding equipment, and other repair tools

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner, using PPE, following Lock Out/Tag Out, MSDS, and other safety protocols

  • Assist with snow removal, including plowing, shoveling, and applying ice melt

  • Take readings on vital equipment, track mileage, gas usage, and report any vehicle damage

  • Respond to all facility maintenance requests from other departments to ensure smooth operations

  • Participate in emergency training and assist during emergencies

  • Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming standards

  • Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies

  • Perform other job-related and compatible duties as assigned

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.  Must be able to efficiently and accurately count money and gaming chips and make a change. Possess the ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

 

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Team members must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
