As a Director of Accounting you will:

• Lead accounting staff across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Work closely with the controller on month-end and special projects.
• Lead inter-entity entries between Navvis and other Surround Care entities.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting for Navvis and other Surround Care entities.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the Controller and CFO, contributing to financial planning, risk management, and policy development.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives in accounting processes, systems, and controls.
• Oversee preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting packages.
• Lead preparation for annual audits and tax filings, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Supervise cash management activities including deposits and client account applications.
• Maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts and provide analytical insights.
• Partner with internal teams to understand key customer and vendor agreements.
• Collaborate with HR and other shared services to align financial systems and reporting with organizational goals.
• Reports to the controller.

Requirements

We are excited about you if you have these things:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles and exposure to controller-level responsibilities.
• Experience in healthcare or similarly regulated industries is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and financial databases.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
