Requirements

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Manager oversees all daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate handling of inventory, including motor and tracking SKUs. This role is responsible for managing staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring timely order fulfillment to meet customer service standards. The Warehouse Manager plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing safety protocols, and driving continuous improvement within the department.

  

Key Responsibilities:


Operations & Workflow Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Ensure all orders—especially motor SKUs and tracked items—are pulled, processed, and shipped accurately      and on time.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse layout and space utilization strategies.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse team members, including Order Pullers, Material Handlers, and Leads.
  • Delegate responsibilities and set daily/weekly objectives for the team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Inventory Control:

  • Oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation efforts to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Ensure proper handling and documentation of inbound/outbound inventory, including serialized and      motor SKUs.
  • Collaborate with inventory control and procurement teams to reduce shrinkage and improve stock      accuracy.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
  • Enforce OSHA and company-specific safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings and audits.
  • Ensure all equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is maintained and operational.

Process Improvement & Reporting:

  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipping, inventory variance, and labor productivity.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance to upper management.

  

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5 years of warehouse supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning, and inventory tracking.
  • Familiarity with motor SKUs or serialized inventory a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
