Job: Sales Associate

Job Description: A Sales Associate provides support in all phases of the in-house sales activities in a steel tubing manufcaturing plant located in Madison, IN. It is a fast-paced evnrionment dedicated to fulfilling customer orders accurately and on time. A background in customer serivce is beneficial. 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Enters orders into the infor system in a timely manner and assigns each order a scheduled ship date. 
• Communicates with the customers regarding the order acknowledgement and teh scheduled ship date. 
• Maintains the production schedule and coordinates schedule with manufacturing staff.  
• Meets daily with production staff to review production schedule. 
• Responds to customer inquiries on issues they may have; i.e., improved delivery date, shortage/ overage of shipment, quality issue, and follow up with appropriate departments to solve the issue(s).
• Maintains a hard copy Open Order File and transfers to Completed Order file after shipment. 
• Compiles daily Open Orders Report and Distributes to appropriate sales reps. 
• Compiles daily Open Orders Report for Master Halco orders and distributes to buyers and staff. 

• Business Degree preferred.
• Strong computer skills with high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Ability to work closely with others.
