Who You Are:

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will review, analyze, and evaluate information technology systems operations. You will determine user needs and requirements, recommend ways to improve systems, and serve as the primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff. You will also identify, document, report, and track system issues while supporting the process of translating business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables. This role requires a strong understanding of databases, system development lifecycles, and engineering best practices.

At the Analyst-Level, you will support business solutions through research, data collection, and analysis, contribute to client deliverables and proposals, take ownership of tasks, and embody the firm’s brand and core values.

Role and Responsibilities:

You may work on various projects throughout your career with Excelacom. The roles and responsibilities noted below pertain to the specific role listed above.

• Review, analyze, and evaluate IT systems operations.

• Gather and document user requirements, ensuring they are translated into technical specifications.

• Serve as the liaison between users and engineering/development staff.

• Identify, document, report, and track system issues through resolution.

• Support the creation of formal technical requirement deliverables from business needs.

• Develop understanding of database queries and information retrieval.

• Use Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools to manage requirements, documentation, and workflows.

• Apply knowledge of SDLC and engineering best practices in all phases of projects.

• In addition to delivering at the client site, you will occasionally be tasked in productizing Excelacom’s work, contributing to our Center of Excellence, and intermittently working on Excelacom proposals to the client.

Required Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a related IT/engineering function.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

• Strong math, written, and verbal communication skills with an analytical approach.

• Experience with Jira/Confluence (Atlassian suite).

• Understanding of SDLC and engineering best practices.

• Experience in documenting technical requirements and system workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related field.

   

   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferred.

• Experience in a professional office environment or relevant internship experience.

• Basic understanding of SQL and database queries.

• Experience working with technology or engineering groups.

Compensation and Benefits:

Excelacom offers competitive salaries, health and wellness benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and career growth opportunities. For regular full-time employees, the estimated salary range is from $55,000 to $75,000/yr.
