We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our team as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you’ll provide a mix of hands-on support and strategic contributions, working on employee relations, policy guidance, and HR program delivery. The ideal candidate is a collaborative relationship builder, problem solver, and trusted resource who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
In your new role, you will:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to studio leadership and employees, in partnership with the Senior HR Business Partner, providing guidance on HR topics including employee relations and firm policies.
- With guidance of the Senior HR Business Partner, lead firmwide compensation benchmarking, setting salary ranges for new hires, promotions, and job postings.
- Participate in industry compensation surveys, maintain the firm’s compensation book, and ensure market data is accurate and up to date to inform pay decisions.
- Monitor HR data and metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend actions.
- Collaborate with HR leadership on key programs, in leading the university outreach initiative and annual internship program and assisting with firm annual total compensation process.
- Assist with the design and development of presentations for HR leadership, firm leaders, and internal stakeholders, synthesizing data, insights, and recommendations into clear, actionable next steps.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure compliance across all HR practices.
- Partner across the HR team to deliver consistent service, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead or support special projects, change initiatives, and process improvements as needed.
What you will need to succeed:
- 7 – 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a Generalist role; professional services or entrepreneurial environment experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred, or equivalent experience; PHR or SHRM-CP certification strongly desired.
- Demonstrated experience fielding employee questions and concerns, and employee relations matters.
- Proficient with data analytics – ability to interpret and present HR metrics to identify trends and inform decisions, familiar with compensation best practices.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate across teams.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
- Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Office Suite, and other data analysis/reporting tools.
