Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Resident Therapist (LSW, LCSW) to join our clinical team. This full-time position primarily involves providing counseling services as a Samaritan Center Employee within contracted elementary, middle, and high schools throughout Lancaster County. The therapist will work directly with students in school-based settings, offering individual counseling to support their mental health and emotional well-being.
This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about working with youth in educational environments and is pursuing clinical licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counseling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an average of at least 22 client hours per week.
- Deliver clinical services that may include individual, group, couple, and family counseling.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with Center policies.
- Collaborate with administrative staff to manage scheduling and documentation.
- Participate in clinical staff meetings, case consultations, and special projects.
- Engage in the Training and Residency Program to build supervision hours toward licensure.
- Participate in program placements such as school-based counseling, TeenHope, or Older Adult Mental Health Program.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong foundation in therapeutic theory and practice.
- Proficiency in differential diagnosis and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
- Ability to assess client needs and conduct effective therapy.
- Commitment to inter-professional collaboration and community engagement.
- Capacity to integrate spirituality into therapeutic practices.
- Professionalism in maintaining boundaries and relationships.
Education & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- Actively pursuing full state licensure in the relevant clinical discipline (LSW, LCSW)
