To help more patients, faster, the Global Medical Affairs Office aims to deliver tailored medical information to customers through effective, data-driven omnichannel education strategies, including social media, web, email, and 3rd party SOA communication. In support of this effort, we seek a strategic, tech-savvy Associate Director - Medical Omnichannel Web Capabilities, to serve as product manager for digital medical education. This role requires deep knowledge of digital tools, scientific communication, and compliance standards to align with customer preferences and regulatory requirements. This individual will support global efforts across all therapeutic areas, collaborating with the Medical Omnichannel Education team, global medical BUs, affiliates, and commercial colleagues as appropriate (EWI) to enhance the online medical education experience for HCPs.

The successful candidate will collaborate across global therapeutic areas with Medical Omnichannel Education, global medical business units, affiliates, and commercial partners to optimize the digital education experience for healthcare professionals (HCPs).

Associate Director - Medical Omnichannel Web Capabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the product manager for Global Lilly Medical Education content designed to inform and educate HCPs by closing identified clinical care and scientific gaps. Primary focus on the US but with consideration for scalable global deployment
- Establish quarterly objectives for the Medical Education segment of the website and coordinate content updates with Medical Affairs global business units.
- Coordinate with Medical Affairs global business unites for Med Ed content updates
- Lead cross-functional teams—including product owners, scrum masters, developers, and project managers—in delivering Medical Education web content.
- Oversee the implementation and standardization of Medical Education MAP/MAP+ solutions, including transitions to Adobe platforms for enhanced efficiency and scalability.
- Manage taxonomy updates for new therapeutic areas or disease states, ensuring enterprise-wide alignment.
- Drive site enhancements and facilitate the evolution of Medical Education content towards a unified, compliant HCP web experience integrating medical and commercial materials as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all Right to Operate requirements.
- Support business planning and lead quarterly chargebacks for MAP/MAP+ content.
- Develop and refine business processes and training to support new web systems and technologies.
- Govern US Medical Education Web processes and advise content owners on effective strategies and operational best practices.
- Advise and coach content owners on Lilly Medical Education processes and strategies
- Advise Medical Affairs business units on leveraging Medical Education Web capabilities to advance business unit strategies.
- Drive global reach and scale initiatives for content supply chain optimization.
- Expand US Medical Education Web capabilities to key affiliates, working collaboratively across global, regional, and cross-functional teams, including Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Tech@Lilly, and others.
- Advocate for innovative solutions to meet evolving customer needs, engaging compliance, legal, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Oversee implementation of local and regional digital channels, ensuring consistency with global standards.
- Monitor emerging trends in digital, web, AI, and omnichannel engagement within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Act as a technical and creative resource for Medical Affairs web initiatives.
- Ensure global strategies are adaptable to regional medical education requirements.
- Participate in capability-building and co-development of digital solutions, including AI strategies that enhance customer journeys and timely access to scientific updates for HCPs.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of overall experience
- Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

- Demonstrated Project and Portfolio management with 2 or more years’ experience
- Current Leadership or Increasing responsibility of leading major projects
- Strong analytical and business problem-solving skills, with a focus on timely, accountable results
- Excellent self-motivation, prioritization, and alignment with strategic business objectives
- Prior experience in digital, web, clinical, pharmaceutical, or global environments
- Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, Ph.D., M.D.); or Master’s (MBA or other) degree with at least 3 years direct experience in customer-centric digital solutions or capability development roles
- Current or previous Medical Affairs experience
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage all organizational levels
- Exceptional relationship-building and diplomacy in cross-functional settings
- Solid working knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory environment, including understanding of medical, legal, regulatory, ethics & compliance and Quality processes
- Agility in learning and adapting to new challenges
- Experience with product launches
- Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Understanding of web tactics and complexities
- Familiarity with Lilly business units and key therapeutic areas
- Proficiency in agile methodologies
- Experience working with diverse teams and cultures
- Capacity to lead without direct authority and promote best practice adoption
- Knowledge of Veeva and Adobe platforms
- Proven expertise in online and health information technologies
- Excellent critical thinking, thriving in dynamic, ambiguous environments

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$122,250 - $179,300Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
