Duties

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller Branch (SPP13), within the Support Services and Planning Division of NAVAL ORDNANCE TEST UNIT FIELD ACTIVITY OF STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS.,You will be responsible for providing valuable financial data associated with both Navy and Air Force accounting systems.,You will provide information, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.,You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares financial reports or summaries used by managers.,You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.,You will perform studies or assist others with full scale studies to include supporting program initiated data calls.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-01 or grade level (GS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Education

Education may be used to substitute for specialized experience: NH-02: a successful completion of a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree;-OR- a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption. This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business Management & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-2 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-04 to GS-11. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
