OVERVIEW
The Lead Database Analyst develops, researches, and implements various reporting systems, data tracking processes, and protocols to improve program administration and maximize department efficiency. This role supports software implementation, decision-making, and process design based upon specifications of leadership. The Lead Database Analyst will oversee special time-sensitive projects in programs and administration to improve efficiency, innovate, and streamline operations. This is a hybrid position where you will work a minimum of two (2) days per week in the office at 1411 Tremont Street Boston, MA. Hybrid work schedule may change and in that event you will be notified by your supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Program Support
- Maintain and manage systems and databases used to administer Rental Assistance programs (such as Tenmast/WinTen2+, Yardi, and Airtable). Add new projects, records, or other data entities as necessary.
- Assist with developing and maintaining written policies and standard operating procedures for tasks carried out within software systems (including onboarding, architecture/layout, and automations.) This may include documenting proper use of established tools, and how to manage/update tools as needed
- Create new users and maintain/update user authorization settings
- Provide technical support and escalate software trouble tickets and follow up as needed to ensure resolutions are found to established and reported problems.
- Set up and troubleshoot reports and forms to automate processes
- Pull required reports from the Rental Assistance software on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, or as otherwise needed or required by Metro Housing, EOHLC, partnering agencies, or program funders.
- Lead efforts in streamlining and innovating system designs and collaborate in establishing more efficient office workflows.
- Develop and continue to strengthen new and existing databases used by the program departments to automate, track, and provide information/reports on current performance measures and workflows.
- Assist in data migration and connection, innovate new measures for better data tracking and information sharing, and maintain functionality of established databases
Internal Systems & Operations Research
- Manage and maintain internal cloud-based tracking tools (currently housed in Airtable) to ensure proper program tracking and communication of key information across various teams and departments.
- Collaborate with program managers and team members to understand their needs and wants from tracking tools and systems, and work to develop tools to suit those needs.
- Research improvements to client service, operational effectiveness, and program service design
- Retrieve data (including utilization, financials, and other program key performance indicators), analyze data, prepare reports, to ensure program integrity is upheld
- Assist with managing and designing Leased Housing SharePoint and work with the Quality Control and Rental Assistance Program teams to maintain with updated documentation and information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field preferred.
- Three years of experience working with affordable housing and housing subsidies and/or database technologies preferred.
- Strong project management, quality improvement, and organizational skills required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently desired.
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to effectively present information, collaborate, and respond to questions from groups of staff, managers, and various stakeholders required.
- Proven track record of meeting project deadlines/deliverables with successful outcomes desired.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced business environment desired.
- Proficient with Yardi, Airtable, Microsoft Word, Excel, and comfort learning new software and tracking systems preferred. Power BI and Azure skills preferred.

- Candidates who live within two miles of Metro Housing|Boston’s headquarters at Roxbury Crossing.
- Candidates with multilingual skills (verbal and written). We are seeking candidates that speak and write English and at least one of the following languages (for interpreting and translation): Vietnamese, Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Toisanese, and Spanish.
