Job Summary:Family Pack

 The team member is responsible performing all duties within the Family Pack department to fill customer orders. Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are being produced by immediately and safety and/or quality concerns. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are being produced; reporting any deficiencies that are found. 

• Interpret and enforce good manufacturing practice (GMP), regulations, and procedures to ensure food safety standards are met 

• Maintain records that would confirm that good manufacturing practices are being implemented 

• Other duties may be assigned at the request of Supervisors.

Qualifications and Demands:

•  Standing in place and working within a cold environment for 8+ hours 
• Repetitively lifting 40 pounds (on occasion)
• Work in areas with loud noises (due to machines being in operation)
• Strong attention to detail
• Required to wear all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the production floor
• Must have reliable transportation
• When necessary, willing to work in department(s) outside of your own to meet order requirements
• If necessary, willing to work overtime to meet order requirements 

 Education and Experience (Due to the high volume of applicants, only those who meet the minimum qualifications will be selected for interviews):

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months of experience and/or training; or the combination equivalent of both education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

Ability to speak English, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

COMPUTER SKILLS: 

Understanding personal computer applications and tools. 

FOOD SAFETY: 

Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns and this position serves as the back-up for QA Supervisor position.
