Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

Classification: Exempt

Status: Full-Time

Reports to: Manager, Technical Reporting and Analytics

Purpose:

The Production Support Analyst will have experience in SQL, Git, and Azure DevOps or other similar tools. They will be responsible for managing the publishing of SQL queries and reports to production environments, resolving day-to-day operation issues, and executing routine data updates and cleanup tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SQL, data workflows, and production system support, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Publishes and maintains SQL-based reports and dashboards to production environments.
  • Coordinates with development and business teams to ensure timely and accurate report delivery.
  • Validates report output and performance post-deployment.
  • Manages Git repository for deployed code.
  • Monitors production jobs and reports for failures or anomalies.
  • Investigates and resolves data-related issues or system errors reported by users.
  • Maintains documentation of recurring issues and resolutions to support knowledge sharing.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, processes, and query optimizations.
  • Performs data corrections in accordance with requests proactive monitoring.
  • Executes data cleanup processes to maintain data quality and integrity in production systems.
  • Supports the data pipeline and ETL troubleshooting as needed.
  • Works closely with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to identify root causes and propose long-term fixes.
  • Assists in optimizing production workflows and documentation to improve system reliability and support efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics (if supplemented with technical experience)
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in production support, data operations, or SQL based role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira.)
  • Experience with Git code repositories.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare, particularly specialty pharmacy.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HIPAA and HITECH.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL tools.
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS).

Work Environment

This job functions in a home office and professional office environment. When in-office this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and communications via MS Teams.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as reading and working with various forms of data on a screen.
