Drew University is seeking a part-time, non-exempt (20 hrs. per week) Administrative Assistant for the Center on Religion, Culture and Conflict (CRCC). This role is responsible for administrative support for all work of the Center on Religion, Culture and Conflict.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate in-person and online conferences, public programs, grant-funded projects, and special events, collaborating with Drew University departments of Finance, Communications, Human Resources, Advancement, Public Safety, Catering, Room Scheduling, Media and Facilities.
- Obtain bids and book transportation and lodging for invited CRCC program speakers and facilitators.
- Oversee print projects and mailings with Drew University in-house and approved vendors for CRCC internal and external events.
- Maintain CRCC department general financial ledger, supporting CRCC travel and expense reports and creating vendor payment and stipend check requests.
- Track grant spending and timelines.
- Produce quarterly and annual grant fiscal accounting and program output reports including survey results.
- Maintain WordPress website and design marketing and social media kits for on-campus and community communications platforms.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train and supervise CRCC undergraduate student works and graduate student assistants.
- Train Student workers in event planning and marketing and supervise their social media platform postings.
- Proficiency in all Google suite applications (calendar, forms. slides, sheets, documents) as well as Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to complete tasks requiring sustained attention to detail and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or associate degree.
- 1-3 years of work experience in an office or higher education environment.
