The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
We are looking for a part-time Inventory Clerk to be accountable for inventory accuracy. This role will be responsible for compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment by performing clerical duties at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This is a part-time position (full-time during pack season, July – October, and when running production off season; part-time the rest of the year).

Key Responsibilities:
- Always Promotes Food Safety Culture as a priority in all situations through conversations, communications, and actions.
- Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting report and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.
- Keeps back-order file in established sequence and releases back orders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.
- Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
- Prepares requisitions, orders, or documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; some college level work preferred.
- At least one year of warehouse experience is preferred.
- English verbal and written communication and good math skills.
- Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly, and understand simple to complex instructions.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended schedule, and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.
Compensation:
The wage range is $18.50- $21.35, based on experience and qualifications.
