The Total Health and Wellness Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and promoting health, wellness, and prevention initiatives that support the holistic well-being of students, faculty, and staff. This role integrates physical, mental, emotional, and social wellness into campus life by providing education, programming, resources, and referrals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with campus departments (e.g., Counseling Center, Student Health, Athletics, Dining Services, and Residence Life) to integrate wellness education into student and employee experiences.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for student health, wellness, and accessibility needs.
- Provide confidential guidance and referrals to counseling, medical, or community-based health services.
- Coordinate wellness check-ins and outreach for at-risk students.
- Partner with faculty, staff, and community health organizations to expand wellness opportunities on and off campus.
- Organize health fairs, screenings, and fitness challenges to promote engagement in wellness activities.
- Collect and analyze data on program participation, student needs, and health trends to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Research best practices and emerging trends in student health and wellness to inform program development.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Counseling, Social Work, Wellness Management, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in health promotion, wellness program coordination, student affairs, or a related role.
- Must be able top lift 10 pounds.
