We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wastewater Treatment Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance with the on-site wastewater treatment facility at our manufacturing plant. This role ensures the effective treatment of process wastewater in accordance with all environmental regulations and internal standards for safety, sustainability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the wastewater treatment system, including physical, chemical, and/or biological processes.
- Lead, train, and supervise plant operators and technicians to ensure safe and efficient performance.
- Monitor treatment systems to ensure compliance with discharge permits and environmental regulations (EPA, state, and local).
- Maintain accurate records of sampling, testing, maintenance, and reporting activities.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and respond to audits, inspections, or violations as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, process upsets, or equipment malfunctions.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to treatment systems and related equipment.
- Manage chemical usage, waste disposal, and environmental reporting (e.g., DMRs, SWPPPs, SPCC plans).
- Ensure safety procedures and environmental protocols are always followed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in a related field preferred)
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to wastewater treatment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Idaho Grade 1 or 2 wastewater operator license preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Skills & Knowledge:

- In-depth understanding of wastewater treatment technologies and industrial wastewater systems.
- Familiar with SCADA systems, lab testing protocols, and regulatory reporting.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing plant environment; exposure to noise, chemicals, odors, and outdoor conditions.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work during emergencies or scheduled maintenance.
