Summary:
The Co-Director student employee for the SPA Leadership Program serves as a representative of the Program and be a liaison between students and SPA Leadership faculty.
Essential Functions:
Work to create an inclusive program environment for all students.
Coordinate with program director and dean of undergraduate education, and other program faculty to ensure student needs are being met inside and outside of the classroom.
Maintain a healthy and productive relationship with the fellow Co-Student Director and members of the Steering Committee and Teaching Teams.
Facilitate the planning and execution of Steering Committee initiatives (i.e. program-wide events, the Mentorship Program, alumni relations, public relations, interclass relations, fundraising efforts, inclusion efforts, outreach efforts, and managing the Program’s finances).
Lead weekly Steering Committee and individual coordinator meetings.
Work with Teaching Teams and Student Activities to plan and execute Welcome Week activities and other activities.
Represent the Leadership Program at on Campus Preview Days and University recruiting events.
Participate in the Program’s faculty and staff selection process as needed.
A willingness to fully commit to the students, faculty, and Program’s best interest.
Serve as the President (or Executive Director) of the SPA Leadership Club, in addition to all of its renewal and student activities requirements.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-Time.
Current AU Student.
Salary Range:
$17.95 per hour.
