We're seeking outstanding general surgeons to join our trauma and acute care surgery team at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. This Level III trauma center features state-of-the-art facilities, 14 modern operating rooms, and a dedicated staff that fosters a collaborative and supportive environment.
Qualifications- Fellowship in surgical critical care or trauma; accepting new grads
- MD or DO: board certified
- Active or in-process Texas medical license
- Willing to relocate to the Abilene area
What you can expect- Work 7 days on/7 days off; 24-hour shift
- 12 hours of primary call then 12 hours of back-up call coverage
- Do not need to remain in-house during their 12 hour back-up call coverage
- 2 surgeon model with APC support
- Moderate trauma with a variety of cases: 80% general surgery, 20% trauma
- Dedicated OR time
- Support from anesthesia, IV radiology
- Evaluation of all trauma and emergency general surgery consults
- Outpatient follow-up in clinic
- Round on in-house patients
