Director of Social Services at Aston Park

Position: Director of Social Services
Location: Aston Park Health Care Center
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday through Friday)
Salary Range: $58,000 - $68,000 per year (based on experience & education)
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package begins after 30 days of employment; opt out and receive an additional $3 per hour
Position Summary
The Director of Social Services leads, innovates, and manages the Social Services Department at Aston Park. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of client-centered services, supervising staff, collaborating with community partners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Director acts as a champion for program development, continuous quality improvement, and advocacy initiatives that support a diverse population.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership to the Social Services team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services to meet the needs of clients and their families, ensuring the highest standards of practice, ethics, and confidentiality
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate social services staff, ensuring ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices
- Assess client needs and provide direct services or referrals, when appropriate, including case management, crisis intervention, advocacy, and resource coordination
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations
- Monitor and ensure program compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as organizational policies
- Collect, analyze, and report program data for quality assurance, funding, and improvement initiatives
- Lead public education, outreach efforts, and workshops to raise awareness of social service resources and initiatives at Aston Park
- Participate in organizational planning, budgeting, and policy development as part of the leadership team
- Represent Aston Park in community forums, coalitions, and professional networks
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in social services, with progressive responsibility; management experience strongly preferred
- Current state licensure (LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent) preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $58,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education
