Major/Essential Functions
- Collect and report patient data, including changes in condition, to support problem identification and the development of care goals and outcomes.
- Prepares and operates equipment and instruments necessary for patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Assists with or performs examinations, assessments, and procedures, ensuring accurate documentation of interventions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records by documenting nursing care, transcribing orders, charting events, and clearing clinical reminders in the EMR.
- Support patient admissions and discharges, including incoming/outgoing transfers, assist RN with physical assessments, transcribing admission orders, and preparing medication and documentation upon discharge.
- Communicate with physicians and providers as needed, including reporting significant changes in patient condition and providing hand-off reports during transfers.
- Administers or assists in the administration and documentation of medications in accordance with established protocols.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support overall patient care and team operations.
In addition to the base position compensation, we offer shift differential pay for night and weekend shifts:
Licensed Vocational Nurse Differential:
- Day Shift Employees: Earn an extra $3.00 per hour for shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday.
- Night Shift Employees:
- Earn an extra $3.00 per hour for shifts worked Monday through Friday.
- Earn an extra $6.00 per hour for shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday.

Required Qualifications
- License/Certification: Current Vocational Nurse License in the State of Texas, or ability to transfer license to Texas, or scheduled to complete a program of vocational nursing within 120 days of applying for a position.
- Graduated from an approved accredited nursing program. New graduates must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX- PN) on the first attempt.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience: None required.
