Reporting organisationally to the Head of FP&A, the FP&A Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial matters for the FIFA World Cup 26™ and all related events. This role involves close collaboration with project leaders and budget owners across all divisions, ensuring effective financial processes, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis to support decision-making.  

THE POSITION

The main responsibilities and oversights of the FP&A Manager for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:   
  • Acting as a strategic business partner to project leaders of the FIFA World Cup 26™ and related events. 
  • Coordinating with budget owners across specific budget areas to ensure alignment and accountability. 
  • Supporting divisions and subsidiaries in the preparation, review, and consolidation of their budgets and forecasts. 
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all budget-related matters. 
  • Participating in the review of budget assumptions on a yearly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis, providing insights and recommendations 
  • Ensuring compliance with all FIFA26 Finance requirements and guidelines. 
  • Overseeing the accurate booking and documentation of invoices for FIFA26 tournament and event expenditures. 
  • Preparing and maintaining comprehensive financial reporting for budget owners, project leaders, and senior management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. 
  • Analysing actual costs of the tournament and related events against budgets across divisions and subsidiaries, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions. 
  • Conducting ad hoc financial analyses and completing tasks as requested by Senior Management 

YOUR PROFILE

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 
Work Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A roles 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced Modelling Skills) 
  • Proficiency in BI reporting tools (Power BI), experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP) is a plus 
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholders 
  • Ability to handle detailed financial data and reports with accuracy 
  • Willingness to support the team and learn from senior members   
Languages
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus 
Technology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced); experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP) and BI tools is a plus
